Let’s face it Ladies! Most of us have all faced some sort of self-doubt, insecurity at one time in our lives. I mean heck, look at all the commercials, billboards, magazines!!! Beautiful, fit, successful women everywhere right? Women thriving in their business, losing weight like it’s a piece of cake, whipping up super healthy dinners while working full time! I mean come on……there are a lot of rocking gals out there!
We may look at them and say, “YES!” I want that to be me. Beautiful, smart, successful. So we jump on in. We work towards our goals of making more money, growing our business, losing weight. Whatever it is….you’re now on a mission. You know it’s possible, because you have seen the results! Then a few days pass, a week, two weeks, maybe you slipped up on your diet. Maybe you got a few NO’s when telling someone about your business, maybe you tried to cook healthy dinners all week, but then one night you went through the drive thru, maybe you just feel overwhelmed, and defeated! Then the icky little gremlin of negative thinking cozies back up in your mind!
It goes something like this!
“What where you thinking? Eating healthy is too hard! Who are you kidding? You will never lose the weight? Did you really think you could make enough money to work from home? How is anyone going to take you seriously?”
The icky, gremlin of lies! How are you feeling now?
My guess is you’re feeling pretty crummy! Are you still as confident and siked about your future goals as you where when you started? Probably not, and that my friend is why you are spinning in a cloud of self defeat, and lack the confidence to succeed!
Well guess what? You don’t have to stay there anymore.
It’s time to learn how to SHIFT your way to Confidence, Happiness, and Success! Ready????!!! I thought so.
STEP #1 Send that bag of lies, no good, gremlin packing!
When negative thoughts enter our mind, not only do we feel crappy, but it blocks the way for any positive thoughts to enter. Even worse, negative thinking can become a habit, and the more we think negative the more we strengthen those neural pathways in our brains, making it harder for us to see the light! So when that gremlin starts talking, you start talking back! Each time you here those negative unwanted phrases, STOP and remember a past time when you were successful. A time when you did something wonderful, and people appreciated you. A time that you got a good grade on a test. A time that you helped a friend, landed a new client, went to an exercise class! Yes, those are all times to be appreciated! Switch your thinking! Focus on all the times when you rocked, and remind that unwanted gremlin how awesome you really are!
STEP #2 Embrace your uniqueness!
I can’t stress this enough ladies. We are all unique, beautiful, and we all have amazing talents! Competing with each other will only lead to misery, self-defeat, and unhappiness. You will never be that girl, because guess what? You are YOU! There is enough talent, abundance, and success in the world for all of us! So If you start to doubt yourself, I want you to think of three things that you absolutely love about yourself! Whatever it is, your hair, your legs, your smile! Embrace those qualities. If it’s your legs, show them off by wearing a cute dress. If it’s your smile, then make sure you smile often. Remember that God doesn’t make mistakes! Your talents, your qualities, your physique, your beauty, is exactly what it is, BEAUTY!
STEP #3 Tap into Your Authentic Confidence
Now sometimes when I say confidence people may think of that really conceited gal, dressed all in bling, who is always trying to one up everyone, and steal the spotlight…..um NO! That is not authentic confidence. True confidence means knowing that whatever life throws your way, you are confident in your ability to handle the situation. There is a big difference! When you know how to push past negative emotions to bring out your true authentic self, then that is when you can truly succeed my friend! I have seen so many times gals miss out on opportunities, money, losing weight, because they allow negative emotions to get the best of them. They thought about the 101 ways the situation could go wrong, instead of thinking about the 101 ways it could go RIGHT! If you are feeling a little nervous, anxious, lacking confidence in something, then I’m going to guess you are thinking about the 101 ways it could go wrong! If you want to build confidence and feel good about yourself, then you need to SHIFT your focus, and think about all the ways it could go right! Visualize the perfect outcome, imagine the success, and feel the authentic confidence that lies within!
